I founded Pathfinder Helicopter Services in 2010, after completing my helicopter flight training.
For me, being a pilot isn’t a hobby, or a whim. When I joined the Marine Corps in 1980, my dream was to become a pilot — but unfortunately, my eyes couldn’t pass the test. 26 years later, after years of working aircraft and designing parts for them, I decided I’d waited long enough. I left my career in mechanical design & program management to train full-time as a helicopter pilot and CFI.
Since launching Pathfinder Helicopter Services, I have served as Chief Pilot and contract pilot for a number of helicopter operations. I offer flight training, aerial photography, and other services on the Schweizer 300.
My 40 years of aerospace experience — from avionics. line maintenance, troubleshooting, quality systems, design manufacturing, safety, to project and program management — and now as an active helicopter pilot, makes me a better pilot, a better CFI and able to tackle any administrative or operational task that comes along.
